Trevis Smith, C.A.T.C., is the Founder and Case Management Coordinator of the Holistic Integration Team. He has worked variously as a detox counselor, case manager and sober companion since entering the field of addiction treatment in 2006. Trevis is particularly adept at coordinating care for both addiction and co- occurring disorders. Trevis has a reputation for being one of the regions premier pioneers in private treatment founding what is now considered one of the most prominent addiction treatment programs in the United States.
Often cited by clients and families alike to be one of the most inspiring individuals on the team, Trevis brings an incredible personal story of triumph over adversity which he draws upon to help clients realize that no situation is insurmountable. His strength lies in his broad proficiencies in assisting clients to set objectives which allow them to advance towards healthy living, recovery, and healing. Family members frequently convey that his motivational and caring approach, along with the client’s hard work, accomplishes in a short time what their loved one has sought to achieve for years.
Dr. Raskin is a leading board certified internist and Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine in Pacific Palisades, California. Treating patients in his private practice since 1996, Dr. Raskin has earned a reputation for exceptional patient care and effective individualized treatment.
Today, through cutting edge and compassionate techniques, Dr. Raskin helps his patients maintain and regain their health.
Dr. Raskin contributes regularly to local and national television broadcasts. Most recently he has appeared as a medical expert on Good Morning America and Nightline.
Tracy Gottbetter is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in the treatment of addiction and eating disorders. She earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute in 2005, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of California at Berkeley. Tracy’s extensive experience includes work at treatment centers, schools, and mental health agencies in the Los Angeles area.
In recovery herself, Tracy is passionate about her work with people who struggle with addiction, eating disorders and compulsive behaviors. She has genuine empathy for her clients and is able to understand how complicated the road to recovery can be. Tracy integrates a family systems perspective, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and spirituality into her work with clients.
In addition to a private practice, Tracy provides individual psychotherapy to clients with dual-diagnosis at a drug and alcohol treatment center in Westlake, California, facilitates group psychotherapy for clients in recovery from eating disorders at multiple treatment centers in the Los Angeles area and is Adjunct Faculty at Phillips Graduate Institute.
Jessica is a graduate of Pierce College Woodland Hills majoring in Addiction Studies and is a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor II (CATC II). Jessica has several years of experience working with a diverse cross-section of populations and is currently the Program Director for HIT Los Angeles. She has received extensive clinical training in co-occurring disorders, family systems, case management, as well as assisting clients with life skills and re-integration into independent living. Her theoretical approach is strength based and believes change first occurs with a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients thus allowing her to help them develop passion and joy in their recovery. Coming from an accomplished athletic background (both personal accomplishments as a competitive athlete and as a gymnastics and diving coach), Jessica believes teamwork and a strong support system are needed to achieve desired results while also incorporating physical wellbeing as integral part of a recovery program. Jessica is a driven and dedicated clinician motivated by her passion (and lived experience) to help those struggling with addiction achieve healing and transformation.
David A. Wiss, M.S., RDN, CPT, is the founder of Nutrition In Recovery, which specializes in the nutritional management of: Food Addiction, Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders, Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, and General Wellness. Mr. Wiss has shared his expertise with a myriad of eating disorder and addiction facilities throughout the greater Los Angeles area. He is on the executive committee of the Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group, and is the Research and Grants Committee Chair for the Los Angeles District of the California Dietetic Association. With over a decade and a half of recovery under her belt, Jenna is a force of nature. Looking at her credentials, one would honestly think that there is nothing she cannot do, which is why HIT is so proud to have her on our team. Jenna began working in treatment in 2004 and began carving a path of accomplishments almost immediately thereafter. Right away her passion for recovery led her to helping others find the same hope she found.
In addition, she has earned a certificate for Drug and Alcohol Counseling from the prestigious UCLA. With these credentials in hand, she went on to work in high-end private treatment, non-profit treatment specializing in co-occurring disorders, evidence based treatment and best practices. Her dedication to our clients’ well-being is without equal, and she will often times continue to work with the clients long after treatment in order to help them coordinate their individual needs. Her extensive background in Private Detox, Non-Profit Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Psychiatric Hospitals and High-End Substance Abuse Facilities affords her an empathy that enables her to not only connect with our clients, but genuinely care for them as they embark upon the road to recovery.
